Sort of a deadly pie-in-the-face for these infant monocots, the curb of the handicapped parking space at the post office got a fresh coat of bright blue paint, with some to spare. The dicots seem to have escaped with their lives.
In the Middle East that shade of blue is painted on houses and doors and even tombs to guard against the evil eye. So your little monocots should have good mazal.
