The neon tubes on the Main Street Rexall sign have been incomplete for years. It was nice to catch the repairman at work installing new tubes, pulling back to judge his work, then drop down to the truck for more.
Yeah, I remember asking some clerks when, or if, they turned on their sign, back when I was doing the Daily Photo blog. I had never seen it on, and I don't think they had either. One of these evenings I'll try to capture it all fired up in the twilight.
I know what you mean, P. I'm sure some people hated the giant painted wall advertisements, that we now find interesting. Or at least, when they are faded together and anachronistic.

I've never seen anyone repair neon before. Years, you say?

I guess I've lived long enough now that neon has become iconic and a Rexall sign has its charms.
