Hi Heidi - I don't know where you're located, but we still seem to have a few in Willits. They are attracted to these irises, but a little frustrated by them as well - the access seems complicated.
I'm located between San Francisco and San Jose. I get lots of bumble bees and native bees. I don't have any iris, but joined http://www.greatsunflower.org to help track bees in urban areas.

It's nice to see a honey bee. I haven't seen one in my garden this year, mostly bumblebees.
