You guys in NoCal are really having a hard time of it. Mother Nature can pretty nasty and unforgiving at times, and we mortals just do the best we can to dance when she plays the tune.
The more I think about it I remember seeing other hydrants decorated with playful designs and colors in the Seattle area. Now that it's risen to a conscious level, I expect I'll be seeing more. Like buying a new car and suddenly discovering everybody and their brother is driving the same car ... but you never noticed until getting yours.
Hope Willits is not in danger, and that the smoke clears very soon. Tough on people with and without breathing impairments!
